Yellow Fiber Laser System for the treatment of oCular disEases

The Yellow-FLiCkEr Project has the aim to develop a new fiber laser, emitting at 577 nm, corresponding to the yellow color, for the treatment of the most diffused ocular dedeases. In particular, the framework of the project, we would like to develop a simplified model of the eye in order to investigate the interaction between the laser radiation and the eye tissues.

Prof. Annamaria Cucinotta will deliver a lecture on Yellow Fiber Laser Systems for ocular disease treatment on April 15 (Tuesday) from 15:00 to 16:00 at the Electronic Systems Graduate Student Training Room, 4th floor, West Wing, Biwako-Kusatsu Campus. File.pdf

On July, 9th 2025 Prof. Annamaria Cucinotta presentetd this contribution “Yellow Fiber Laser System for the Treatment of Ocular Disorders” authored by A. Issatayeva, W. Belardi, Gian Maria Cavallini, Guido Perrone, A. Cucinotta at the International Conference on Transparent Optical Networks 2025 in Barcelona, Spain.

On 17 January 2026, Dr. Aizhan Issatayeva from the University of Parma (Italy) presented her research “Application of the yellow laser based on the Dy-doped ZBLAN fiber for the treatment of the retinal diseases” at SPIE Photonics West 2026 in San Francisco, California, USA.
